Feathery Cassia

It's just the beginning! With the recent rains, the desert floor is starting to come alive.
Some of the native plants are starting to bloom. I saw the first blue Dichelostemma (wild hyacinth) on the trail today.

This Cassia is now blooming in our yard, perfuming the air with it's sweet and spicy fragrance
The Feathery Cassia is a native of Australia and has wonderful texture and grey/green color which is a wonderful contrast against some of the darker greens of surrounding plants.

More wildflowers coming soon up here and on my Artography blog where I will post only photographs and keep this more focused on art and lettering with photos.
