St.George River views

Views from our porch overlooking the St. George River. The first image was overexposed and I liked that it really seemed to catch the mood of the day.

Below that is a smoky sunset just after the fog had rolled in .... as seen in the next photo. The fog crept in slowly "On cat's feet" borrowing from Sandburg's imagry.

The fog comes
on little cat feet.
It sits looking
over harbor and city
on silent haunches
and then moves on.
I always reach for my Craig Urquhart cd on a day such as this. His mood and minimilist line is perfect music for a foggy Maine day.

The final photo is a sunset from Port Clyde. Cliche as a sunset photo may be, this evening's display was surreal in it's intensity... almost not to be believed......but there it was.
We were in awe.

Your photos are gorgeous. I could sit on the porch and look at the river all day.
