Desert Botanical Garden
On a recent trip to Desert Botanical Garden we caught artist Patrick Dougherty finishing up his installation of willow sculptures which will be on display in the Garden throughout the spring. It was fascinating watching him work with soaked bundles of willow branch as he twisted them into shapes inspired by the Sonoran Desert. Intertwined with the willow we see peeks of Creosote (Larrea Tridentata) which we also see in the foreground.

I love your writing again and again. i wish i could write such a perfect "willow". Willow is part of my name, that's why I relate to that tree the more :-)
Thanks Ramona.
Willow is part of your name! How lovely. Middle name?
Hey, is that the same Patrick I remember from our docent days at the garden? The sculptures are really cool!
