Agave

My fascination with the withered and flash frozen plants of the desert continues. This was an agave leaf taken at the Desert Botanical Garden a couple of weeks ago. The texture made it perfect for a background for some lettering. I loved the tracks across the center.

I love old leaves. I would rather paint and old dried leaf before a fresh new one. An old one has so much character.

Exactly Toni!

Although fresh is getting exciting now too. Spring is totally here in the Southwest!

I love the agave! Can I have a translation please?

translation:

"this is among my prayers" or this is what I wish for ...loosely.

Doesn't have much to do with the agaves, I guess.

Love the agaves too. I think we have to plant one here for some drama!
