Scenes from Northern Maine

We Began our trip in Solon at the Evergreen Campgrounds. The second day we were there we woke to this lovely morning fog lifting over the Kennebec.
There was supposed to be some kayaking involved on this trip. It was cold. We were wimps.
This is at a convergence of a small stream into the Carrabasset at the Wire bridge. The light at that time of day was exquisite.
Further north beyond Stratton we found this wonderful lake .I loved the cloud reflections in the placid waters . Imagine my surprise when I was reading some of the signage at the spot and found an illustrated poem...illustration done by friend Jan Owen from Bangor! www.janowenart.com
Check out this talented woman's art....... A bright crisp day on the Carrabassett. Posted by Picasa
